The 'Healthy Mongol' program is supported by the Japanese Society for Dental Anti-Aging Medicine

The project aimed at promoting hygiene standards for oral care and dental health in Mongolia has been launched. This project is being implemented as part of the initiative of the country's president and with the support of the Japanese Society for Dental Anti-Aging Medicine (日本アンチエイジング歯科医学会 — (Japan Society for Dental Anti-Aging: JSDA). The visit to Japan provided an opportunity for a bilateral meeting between the Mongolian delegation, led by Ambassador Bayarsaihan Banzragch and presidential advisor Badamtsestseg Batmunkh, and representatives of the Japanese Society for Dental Anti-Aging Medicine (JSDA).


At the meeting, Ambassador Bayarsaihan Banzragch presented the long-term development strategy of Mongolia, including issues related to the health and well-being of the population. He also announced an upcoming meeting in March 2025, where the launch of a program initiated by President Khurelsukh Ukhna regarding the health of the Mongolian people is planned to be discussed.

The organization of the meeting was carried out jointly with the Japanese Society for Dental Anti-Aging Medicine, and it involved specialists in dentistry and hygiene, including society president Toru Matsuo and Dr. Enkhsaikhan Purevjav from the University of Tennessee (USA).

The parties are working on implementing modern dental technologies in Mongolia based on scientific research, as well as methods of rejuvenating dentistry and oral therapy used in Japan.

During the discussions, Badamtsestseg Batmunkh, presidential advisor on health issues in Mongolia, presented materials on the 'Healthy Mongol' program, while Tsetsgekhsaikhan Batmunkh, head of the public health department, spoke about the dental health status of Mongolians and future tasks in this area, answering questions from participants.

Members of the Japanese Society for Dental Anti-Aging Medicine plan to visit Mongolia in August of this year. They intend to study local conditions related to dental and oral health, as well as conduct joint activities.

Toru Matsuo, president of the society, noted that the information about the state policy and decisions made in the field of health care in Mongolia, as well as the status of dental diseases among children presented at the meeting, will be crucial for further cooperation.
