The festival aims to promote Bactrian camels and the culture of camel breeding, as well as to expand economic opportunities related to camel products and to pass on the rich heritage to the next generation.
As part of the festival, a nationwide meeting of camel breeders is expected, along with various competitions, including races on adult male camels (atan), two-year-old camels (tor), and three-year-old camels (tailag).
It is worth noting that in 2016, in Dalanzadgad, Umnugovi Province, a race called "Mongolian Camels-999" took place, featuring 1,108 camels, which set a record recognized by the Guinness World Records as the largest camel racing competition.
