The Paris court issued a verdict for 10 participants in the internet harassment of Brigitte Macron

Emmanuel Macron, Brigitte Macron
The Paris court found eight men and two women guilty, whose ages range from 41 to 65 years. The judicial authorities emphasized that the defendants spread "particularly derogatory, offensive, and malicious" statements regarding rumors about Brigitte Macron's possible transgender identity and claims that she allegedly was born a man.

Additionally, the defendants were also found guilty of disseminating "numerous malicious comments" about the first lady's alleged connection to pedophilia, which is related to the age difference between her and her husband, French President Emmanuel Macron, who is 24 years younger than her.

During the court hearing, Tiphaine Auzière, Brigitte Macron's youngest daughter, noted that the false accusations negatively affect her mother's health. She emphasized that Brigitte is forced to constantly monitor her appearance and behavior out of fear that her image will be distorted. Auzière added that such situations affect the entire family, including Macron's grandchildren.

The prosecution sought suspended prison sentences for the defendants ranging from three to 12 months, as well as fines of up to €8,000. The most severe measures were requested for three defendants, whom the prosecution labeled as "instigators." Among them are 41-year-old writer Aurélien Poirson-Atlan, known by the pseudonym "Zoé Sagan," as well as 56-year-old Bertrand Scholler and 51-year-old Delphine Jegousse, who uses the pseudonym "Amadine Roua" and claims to have mediumistic abilities.
