The bodies of 32 Cuban servicemen who died as a result of American forces' attacks on Venezuela were delivered to Cuba. This was reported by Cubavision.

The ceremony took place at the José Martí airfield, where Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel, former leader Raúl Castro, and Interior Minister Lázaro Alberto Álvarez gathered.

During his speech, the Interior Minister noted: "Death will not break those who fall with a rifle in hand, defending the just cause."

After the ceremony, the coffins, which appeared unusually small, were transported through the streets of the city accompanied by three motorcyclists. Local residents gathered along the roadside to pay their respects. Judging by the video, the coffins likely contained not full bodies, but rather their remains.

The Cuban servicemen were killed on January 3 during the U.S. attack on Venezuela, which was part of Operation "Absolute Resolve." American forces carried out a series of strikes and reportedly evacuated Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro.

According to the Cuban president, the military personnel were in Venezuela at the request of local authorities. Information about casualties among Cuban soldiers was also confirmed by U.S. President Donald Trump.

As a result of this attack, according to data from the Venezuelan Ministry of Internal Affairs, 100 people were killed.
