- The Ministry of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Processing Industry, in collaboration with several other agencies, has developed a strategy aimed at increasing agricultural production by 30% by 2030. This was stated in an interview with the radio by Aziret Ismailov, the leading specialist in the monitoring and planning department.

According to Ismailov, the program will focus on the development of sectors such as livestock, crop production, water management, and the processing industry. Plans include the establishment of new enterprises, the implementation of modern technologies, and the improvement of specialists' qualifications in this field.

Particular attention in the program is given to issues of providing drinking water, which is considered an important aspect of sustainable development in rural areas.

Speaking about crop production, Ismailov noted that the key goal remains to increase the volume of agricultural production by 30%. This achievement is planned through the increase in the production of key crops such as wheat and potatoes, which play an important role in the agricultural economy.

In the field of livestock, the ministry will strive to shift from quantitative indicators to qualitative ones, which implies the development of breeding livestock instead of commodity livestock. This will improve both the volume and quality of meat, milk, and wool.

Additionally, Ismailov mentioned a Cabinet of Ministers decree that allocates funding for the development of cattle, including the purchase of breeding materials. These materials are distributed across regions taking into account climatic conditions.

“Some of the breeding materials have already been distributed among the regions, and the remaining will be provided to farmers as they become ready,” added Aziret Ismailov.
