A freezing complex will be built in the Chui region

In the village of Ak-Suu, located in the Chui region, a modern freezing complex will be constructed. This was announced by the Russian-Kyrgyz Development Fund.

The agreement for financing this project was signed by the RKDF and one of the leading companies in the export of agricultural products, OsOO "Kyrgyzcentrproduct." The fund's investments will be directed towards the construction of the new freezing complex.

According to information from the RKDF, the planned facility will cover an area of about 5,000 square meters and will be able to simultaneously store up to 3,000 tons of frozen vegetables and fruits. After its opening, the storage capacity at the enterprise will double.

“This project is important for our organization, as it fully aligns with the goals of the National Development Program until 2030. We aim to fulfill the tasks set by the President of the Kyrgyz Republic, Sadyr Japarov, to significantly increase the export of agricultural products. In the agricultural sector, everything depends on the season. During the peak harvest, the existing capacities cannot cope with the volumes. The new complex will allow us to receive berries from farmers without delays and minimize crop losses,” emphasized the chairman of the RKDF, Artem Novikov.

At the signing ceremony of the agreement, the authorized representative of the president in the Chui region, Azamat Osmonov, noted the importance of this project for the region.

“Today, the Chui region is perceived not only as agricultural but also as a center for industrial development. The implementation of such projects contributes to strengthening the industrial potential of the region,” he added.

The growth of infrastructure directly affects export indicators: over the past year, the volume of frozen berry and fruit supplies has increased almost fourfold, amounting to 3,632 tons. During peak harvest periods, when up to 60% of the annual raw material volume enters the market, the existing capacities become overloaded. The new complex in Ak-Suu will ensure uninterrupted receipt of products from farmers and maintain quality in accordance with international standards.
