The village head, Zhenishbek Asanbaev, reported that the source "Kainar Bulak," located just six kilometers from the village, has undergone testing, confirming the presence of silver and 32 minerals. "They say that this source was already studied during Soviet times. In recent years, one of the local residents sent water samples for analysis in Kara-Balta, where the presence of 32 mineral elements was also confirmed. Currently, we are developing a project for the construction of a bottling plant and are looking for investors in collaboration with local authorities," Asanbaev explained.
He also added that water samples were sent for testing to Saudi Arabia, Switzerland, and Kazakhstan.
The authorized representative of the president in the region, Bakytbek Zhetigenov, has already familiarized himself with this initiative. If the issue of attracting an investor is not resolved, he suggested that local authorities consider the possibility of creating a municipal enterprise.
However, local authorities believe that significant investments will be required to open such an enterprise. Zhetigenov, for his part, assures that large investments will not be needed at the initial stage.
The Akim of the Ak-Suysky district, Kanatbek Kaldaraliev, noted that water from the new source could be supplied to the ski resort "Ala-Tuu Resort." "I conducted a survey and found out that most of the water in Issyk-Kul is delivered from Bishkek. These are different brands. In the Pristan-Przhevalsk area, there is also a 120-meter well, but the composition of its water is unknown," he added.
For supplies to the resort, Zhetigenov believes that high-quality glass containers are necessary. Akim Kaldaraliev also reported the start of bottled water production near the "Jyrgalan" resort.
Additionally, there is mention of a project to build a large plant near the source in the village of Pioneer with proposed investments of $3 million.
In February 2025, Turmush reported that silver was also found in the groundwater in the Jetigouzk district of the Issyk-Kul region. Zhanibek Dogdurbek uulu, chairman of the youth association "Chyrak," spoke about laboratory studies of water near the former grain storage facility on the outskirts of the village of Chyrak, which confirmed the presence of silver. At that time, there were reports of interest from Chinese and Russian investors in developing this deposit.
