At the meeting of the "Ala-Too" deputy group, Azamat Kerimbek uulu, head of the "Legprom" association, emphasized that stagnation in Russia will negatively affect Kyrgyz producers. He noted that the patent system, which had been in place since 2003, was abolished in 2023, resulting in the registration of 9,800 workshops and individual entrepreneurs in the textile sector. At the same time, since the beginning of 2023, 23,000 individual entrepreneurs have registered on the Wildberries platform, and 7,000 on Ozon.

According to Kerimbek uulu, this raises the question of the whereabouts of the remaining entrepreneurs, many of whom are in the shadow economy and need to enter the legal market.

He reminded that previously patents cost 1,500-3,000 soms, and now a single tax has been introduced. "There are two taxation regimes: 2% on turnover for wholesale and retail trade and 0.25% for producers. This promotes development, but there are also negative aspects: sales are limited, and all products are exported to Russia. In 2023, the share of online trade was 63%, and now it is already 92%. Marketplaces are taking market share from offline sales. The closure of borders with Russia on September 15 led to an increase in logistics costs: the cost of cargo rose from 50 to 200 soms. Major retail chains, such as 'Sadovy' and 'Lyublyano', lack locally produced goods, as they have moved online," the entrepreneur added.

He also mentioned that Tatyana Kim, the founder of Wildberries, was welcomed in Kyrgyzstan by former Prime Minister Akylbek Japarov, who promised to allocate land for a logistics center. However, after that, Kim went to Uzbekistan, where the necessary documents were quickly signed, and now a distribution center covering 100,000 square meters is being built on the outskirts of Tashkent, which will be launched this year. "While we were inactive, Uzbekistan seized the opportunity. We still have a chance, as we are in the Customs Union, unlike them," noted Kerimbek uulu.

According to his forecasts, stagnation in Russia is expected in 2026-2027: inflation will rise, salaries will remain at the same level, and purchasing power will decrease. This will affect our orders and remittances. Therefore, it is necessary to take a comprehensive approach to solving this problem," he addressed the deputies.

We remind you that Wildberries has opened a new logistics center in the Sergeli district of Tashkent, consisting of two blocks with a total area of 53,000 square meters and capable of processing up to 500,000 orders per day. According to information from Russian officials, Wildberries plans to create the largest logistics center in Uzbekistan, covering 100,000 square meters. Investments in the project are estimated at more than 11 billion rubles, and about 7,500 new jobs are expected to be created.
