The "Legprom" Association has requested an extension of work visas for citizens of Bangladesh who are working in Kyrgyzstan, with the aim of additionally attracting migrants to the garment industry. This was reported by a representative of the association at a meeting of the "Ala-Too" deputy committee.

She explained that citizens of Bangladesh come to the country under contracts, where they officially work and pay taxes. These workers diligently fulfill their duties on the territory of Kyrgyzstan.

“We would like to propose considering the possibility of extending visas for labor migrants, arranged through companies. The contracts clearly specify the working conditions and duration of work,” she added.

The association's representative also noted that the lack of visa extensions could lead to disruptions in production processes.

The director of the "Legprom" Association, Azamat Kerimbek uulu, reported that some employers do not comply with the terms of contracts and do not provide housing, leaving foreign citizens without shelter. However, he emphasized that there are companies that strictly adhere to the rules and pay taxes. According to him, when all norms are followed, labor costs turn out to be lower.

“Some of them have groups in messengers where they report that the salary is 500-600 dollars. Late at night, they pack their things and leave. We file applications, and these people become illegal migrants. The situation is complicated — foreign workers give way to local seamstresses who move from one workshop to another. But we are grateful to our law enforcement agencies for their response,” he concluded, adding that this area needs to be properly regulated.
