Nearly 4 million soms in fines: results of inspections in the field of wildlife and plant protection

In 2025, the Ministry of Nature of the Kyrgyz Republic conducted a significant number of inspections in the field of wildlife protection, specifically 42 inspections and 561 raids.
According to the information from the press service of the agency, as a result of these activities, 567 violations were recorded, leading to fines totaling 3,907,500 soms. Of this amount, 3,594,500 soms were collected into the budget.
In particular, in the waters of Lake Issyk-Kul, 99 raids were conducted, resulting in 63 fines totaling 335,500 soms. In this area, claims were filed for a total of 3,038,162 soms, of which 2,371,893 soms have already been collected. Additionally, during the raids, 30,600 meters of synthetic fishing nets were destroyed.
At Lake Son-Kul, 100 raids were conducted, resulting in 98 violations and fines totaling 308,000 soms. A total of 3,800 meters of nets were seized and destroyed. In total, 56,900 meters of synthetic fishing nets were removed from illegal circulation.
Furthermore, at Manas Airport, a case of illegal transportation of shot birds was discovered, for which a claim was filed for 265,500 soms, fully collected in accordance with the law.
At the Dostuk checkpoint, 200 sea turtles were detained and subsequently transferred to the Osh Zoo.
As part of the presidential decree No. 131 of the Kyrgyz Republic, an inventory of 1,267 recreational facilities was conducted. The country has 226 wastewater treatment facilities; however, 868 guesthouses lack such facilities. The service will continue its work on the protection of natural resources and the prevention of violations.
