In Bishkek, a dialogue took place between the public and private sectors, focusing on strengthening business resilience through compliance mechanisms and responsible governance. This was reported by the event organizers.

During the discussion, participants examined proposals for improving the legislative framework in Central Asian countries. Attention was also given to the importance of regular and structured interaction between the government and entrepreneurs on compliance and good governance issues. The event was attended by representatives from various business structures, government agencies, non-governmental organizations, and international partners.

It was noted that compliance with norms and responsible governance is becoming increasingly significant for economic competitiveness. For companies operating in Central Asia, compliance issues are gaining particular importance due to the demands of international markets, participation in global supply chains, and the necessity of attracting investments that require clear and predictable internal regulations.

Altynai Asanova, Executive Director of the American Chamber of Commerce in Kyrgyzstan, emphasized that open discussions on compliance and corporate governance between government structures and businesses are a key element in enhancing the resilience of companies, building investor trust, and integrating the country into global markets.

Compliance, which translates from English as "adherence," represents a set of measures and procedures aimed at reducing risks and ensuring that a company's activities comply with established norms. These norms can be both external—such as laws and regulations—and internal—corporate rules and standards.
