The press center of the ministry reports that the meeting discussed the current state and future of bilateral cooperation in the field of health care.

Damir Osmonov emphasized that the Kyrgyz Republic places great importance on its friendship with Korea and strives to develop mutually beneficial relations. He noted that special attention should be paid to the comprehensive partnership established in December 2024, which opens new opportunities for cooperation in various fields, including health care.
The parties also discussed the upcoming "Central Asia - Republic of Korea" summit scheduled for 2026, which will serve as an important platform for strengthening strategic dialogue and expanding practical cooperation.
During the negotiations, emphasis was placed on the implementation of infrastructure projects in health care supported by the Economic Development Cooperation Fund.
In particular, the construction of the Republican Clinical Infectious Disease Hospital continues, and a project is being prepared for the modernization and construction of a new building for the National Hospital as part of the initiative to create a medical campus.
Damir Osmonov also noted the significance of cooperation in the training of medical personnel. Kyrgyz specialists are undergoing training in programs supported by the Korea Foundation for International Healthcare, including the international Lee Jong-wook Fellowship Program, which allows them to familiarize themselves with modern medical technologies and advanced management practices.
The Kyrgyz side expressed gratitude for the regular medical missions and humanitarian assistance provided by Korea to support the population and improve the health care system.
Following the meeting, the parties confirmed their interest in further expanding cooperation, including the development of medical infrastructure, training of medical personnel, and exchange of experience in the field of health care.
