On Radio Sputnik, the director of the Fund for the Support and Development of Tourism, Adilet Januzakov, proposed the initiative for the necessity of implementing state regulation in the field of ecological tourism.
According to him, his fund, in collaboration with the Department of Tourism and the Ministry of Economy and Commerce, plans to study this issue more deeply. At the same time, the opinions of tour operators will be taken into account during the discussion process.
The head of the department emphasized that ecological trails, which are one of the popular types of tourist routes, remain an important direction for the development of tourism in Kyrgyzstan.
Tourists can already use electronic maps, such as 2GIS, to navigate in the mountains, utilizing mobile applications.
“It is important that the development of glamping and ecotourism occurs with respect for nature. Even in conditions of 'wild' tourism, it is necessary to create minimal infrastructure, including bio-toilets and other necessary amenities, as this directly affects the state of the environment,” noted Adilet Januzakov.
