Recently, there have been numerous speculations and misunderstandings in society related to the BELES project and its commitments, which were allegedly taken on by the president and state structures. Urmat Dyusheev, one of the founders and owner of 50% of the shares, considers it necessary to clarify the situation.

“We did indeed plan to launch the assembly and production of buses on the territory of Kyrgyzstan at the first stage. However, during the work, the relevant authorities and specialists pointed out a number of serious shortcomings. Key issues included compliance with international standards, technical requirements, the need for deep modernization, as well as the lack of a complete production-service cycle, which includes not only assembly but also subsequent maintenance, warranty, and infrastructure,” he explained.

After thorough analysis, it became clear that additional investments would be required to eliminate the identified shortcomings, which significantly exceed the initial estimates. The investment funds allocated in the first stage were fully utilized, and further development of the project under current conditions has become financially impossible. For this reason, the project has been temporarily suspended.

It is important to note that neither the president nor state institutions have taken on any legal or financial obligations regarding the purchase of BELES buses. The widespread rumors about "unfulfilled promises" from the state have no basis, and even if a state order were placed, the company would not be able to ensure the production and maintenance of buses in full compliance with current technical and service requirements under the existing conditions.

We approached this assessment consciously to avoid misleading either the state authorities or the public. At the moment, the founders of the project are considering options for its refinement, modernization, and alignment with the necessary standards, after which further decisions will be made.

Thus, the BELES project is not closed but is in a stage of rethinking and analysis. We believe it is important to discuss this openly and professionally, without politicization and distortion of facts,” concluded Dyusheev.
