According to the Israel Defense Forces (IDF), the bombings were aimed at targets associated with the "Hezbollah" group. The IDF press service confirmed that the attacks were a response to "constant violations" of the ceasefire conditions by "Hezbollah."

During the operations, launchers, missile systems, and military facilities used by this group were targeted.

IDF representatives noted that "Hezbollah's" actions to restore its bases violate the agreements made between Israel and Lebanon and pose a threat to Israel's security.

It is worth recalling that in November 2024, a ceasefire was signed between Israel and "Hezbollah," under which the group committed to not restoring facilities that could be used for attacks on Israel. Additionally, by the end of 2025, "Hezbollah" was to transfer its weapons to the Lebanese authorities; otherwise, Israel threatened to resume military actions against it on Lebanese territory.
