In the Uzgen District, more than 50 hectares of land will be reclassified as water fund category

The Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic has approved a new resolution regarding a land plot in the Salam-Alyk rural area, located in the Uzgen district of the Osh region. This plot, with a total area of 50.16 hectares, will be reclassified to the category of water fund.

Previously, this plot was state-owned and classified as agricultural land and part of the state forest fund. The change in category is due to the need for the construction of protective structures against mudflows in this area.

The Uzgen district state administration has been instructed to update land registration documents and develop urban planning documentation, as well as to strictly monitor the use of this plot in accordance with its designated purpose.

Additionally, local authorities must ensure safe drainage systems for rainwater and meltwater, as well as comply with all environmental standards and safety requirements during the operation of the created infrastructure.

This resolution will come into effect in 10 days.
