During the discussions, Marlen Mamataliyev shared with the Russian side the results of the recent parliamentary elections in Kyrgyzstan. He noted that women now occupy 31 out of 90 seats in the Jogorku Kenesh, indicating a significant increase in their political influence.

Valentina Matviyenko positively assessed these changes, emphasizing the importance of inter-parliamentary relations for creating favorable conditions for business and development in areas such as energy, transport, and tourism.

The Speaker also highlighted the issues faced by Kyrgyz citizens in Russia, proposing specific measures to address them based on the principles of alliance between the countries.

The Chairwoman of the Federation Council confirmed her readiness for cooperation and the search for new ideas to strengthen bilateral relations.

The parties agreed on the necessity to activate the work of relevant committees to implement the task of doubling the trade turnover set by the heads of state. Investment cooperation and joint projects in agriculture were identified as key growth factors.

Earlier in Moscow, Marlen Mamataliyev and other deputies met with compatriots, familiarized themselves with the tests for migrant children upon entering schools, and held negotiations with Vyacheslav Volodin, the Chairman of the State Duma.
