
According to the parliament's press service, the main focus was on activating contacts between the Jogorku Kenesh and the Azerbaijani Milli Majlis, including interaction at the level of relevant committees and friendship groups.
Speaking about cooperation with Azerbaijan, Marlen Mamataliyev emphasized its priority in Kyrgyzstan's foreign policy. He noted that the warm relations between the leaders of both countries contribute to deepening political dialogue and developing cooperation in various fields.
In addition, the Chairman highlighted the significance of parliamentary diplomacy for strengthening strategic partnership and expressed the readiness of the Jogorku Kenesh for active interaction with the Milli Majlis.
In response, Latif Gandilov thanked for the warm welcome and conveyed greetings from the Chairman of the Milli Majlis of Azerbaijan, Sahiba Gafarova.
He also spoke about joint projects, including investment activities through the Azerbaijan-Kyrgyz Development Fund, the authorized capital of which has been increased to 100 million dollars. These funds will be directed towards the implementation of major projects on a non-interest basis.
During the meeting, issues of cooperation in trade-economic and cultural-humanitarian spheres, as well as the interaction of the parliaments of the two countries within international organizations, were also discussed.
