Today at the parliament session, Dastan Bekeshev proposed an initiative to extend the deadline for taxi drivers to obtain licenses. He emphasized that the deadline for drivers to complete their paperwork is only three days away.

According to the deputy, only 7,500 licenses have been issued so far, while about 70,000 people work in the taxi sector. "If the licensing deadlines are not extended, it will lead to an increase in unemployment and a rise in taxi service prices," Bekeshev stated.

He also drew attention to the appeals from driving school representatives, which are currently closed. "For example, the DOSAAF driving school building is completely closed, and workers, such as seamstresses, are deprived of access to their equipment. This is wrong. I believe that 10 months of training to obtain a driver's license is too long and costly," the deputy added.

Additionally, Bekeshev raised the issue of Russian cars that are in impound lots. "It is necessary to consider options for their amnesty or other ways to resolve this problem. All these issues require discussion in the relevant committee," he noted.

Kubanych Kongantiev joined his initiative, emphasizing that a commission should be created to thoroughly examine the raised issues. "We are receiving numerous complaints regarding taxi licensing and driver's licenses. This requires more careful scrutiny, and within the committee, we cannot manage without additional consideration," he added.
