Due to the threat of the Nipah virus spreading, Kyrgyzstan is strengthening sanitary and quarantine control, as reported by representatives of the Ministry of Health.

At Manas Airport, additional precautionary measures have been implemented, with a particular focus on passengers arriving from India, where cases of the disease have been registered.

Deputy Minister of Health Ryspek Sydygaliev conducted an inspection of sanitary control measures on the flight from Delhi to Bishkek, emphasizing the importance of early detection of infection symptoms.

On February 1, 158 people arrived in Bishkek from India. All had their temperatures measured, and no elevated readings or cases posing an epidemiological threat were recorded.

The Ministry of Health noted that if a temperature above 37.5°C is detected, the passenger will be immediately isolated and provided with medical assistance. Currently, the situation with epidemics in the country remains under control.

The agency also added that enhanced preventive measures will continue in the future.
