25-year-old Emirlan Jenishbekov, living in the village of Kyzyl-Birlik in the Chui region, became the regional champion in kök börü along with his team.

Emirlan was born on May 14, 2000, and is a married father raising a daughter.

“I am the eldest of three brothers in the family. Since childhood, I have been passionate about kök börü, as all my ancestors were ulakchi. My father and grandfather on my father's side also became famous in this sport. In 2017, I moved to the big league, participating in tournaments, and played for the teams ‘Kök-Jal’, ‘Rassvet’, ‘Sary-Ozön’, and ‘Dostuk’. Currently, I play for the team ‘Dostuk’. We have participated twice in the World Nomad Games and achieved victories in various competitions dedicated to May 9 and Independence Day. However, we have not yet managed to win tournaments on Nauryz. Recently, my young teammates from the Alamudun district and I won the championship title at the district competitions. Now I train with my younger brother and the sons of my older brother, hoping for success in the upcoming nomad games,” Emirlan shared.

He also touched on the topics of sports injuries, animal husbandry, and his life goals.

“My family fully supports me in my pursuit of kök börü, as they understand this sport well. Of course, it can be dangerous, and accidents can happen at any moment, but as they say, God protects the cautious — that’s how we compete. Besides kök börü, I am involved in animal husbandry, raising horses, cows, and sheep, which allows me to earn a living. In the future, I plan to serve my country, take care of my parents, brothers, and family, and raise worthy children to benefit society. Additionally, I dream of participating in a large number of kök börü competitions and bringing glory to our country on the international stage,” he added.
