The ministerial conference dedicated to critically important minerals was organized by the U.S. Department of State under the leadership of Secretary of State Marco Rubio. This event was attended by 55 delegations, including Mongolia, as reported by MiddleAsianNews.

Previously, the Department of State announced that Marco Rubio would host foreign representatives in Washington to develop cooperation aimed at strengthening and diversifying supply chains for critically important minerals.
During the meeting, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Mongolia, Batzetszeg Batmunkh, discussed ways to enhance economic and national security, as well as the need for joint improvement of the resilience of supply chains for important minerals in Washington.

This event brought together representatives from leading mineral resource producing and consuming countries to achieve a common understanding and demonstrate readiness for cooperation in ensuring reliable supplies and processing of minerals that are critical for economic and technological development.
The uniqueness of the international ministerial meeting on critically important minerals lies in its emphasis on cooperation in this sector through private sector engagement and investment.
The main goal of the event is to accelerate cooperation that ensures access to key components necessary for technological innovations and strengthening economic and national security.
Earlier, we reported that the Civil Aviation Authority of Mongolia received approval for a Category 1 (CAT 1) rating from the Federal Aviation Administration of the United States. This status will facilitate the export of rare earth element oxides and other critically important minerals, opening access for Mongolia to global markets and enabling the creation of more resilient supply chains for important minerals.
