During the final press conference, Jeyhun Bayramov noted that the letter from Russia contains points that raise serious questions and confusion for Azerbaijan. According to him, the Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia, Alexander Bastrykin, reported the closure of the criminal case, which is surprising. In response to this notification, the relevant authorities of Azerbaijan provided detailed explanations of their position and expressed hope for a prompt clarification of the situation.

We remind you that on October 9, at a meeting between the presidents of Russia and Azerbaijan, Vladimir Putin and Ilham Aliyev, information was voiced regarding two reasons for the plane crash. The first is that on the day of the tragedy, air defense systems were tracking three UAVs of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, and the second is a technical failure of the air defense system. Although the missiles fired that day did not directly hit the plane, they exploded a few meters away from it, possibly as a result of self-destruction.

On December 25, the Ministry of Transport of Kazakhstan published a report on the AZAL plane crash, in which no traces of explosives were found. According to the report, the aircraft sustained damage from elements of the warhead. The Embraer 190 aircraft, which was flying from Baku to Grozny, crashed on December 25, 2024, near Aktau after several unsuccessful landing attempts in Grozny. There were 67 people on board, 38 of whom died.
