The statement says that Ali Shaat, who previously held the position of Deputy Minister in the Palestinian government, will head the new committee. His responsibilities will include restoring essential public services, reconstructing civil institutions, and improving daily life in Gaza.

Also, the White House noted that the formation of the NCAG "fully aligns with UN Security Council Resolution 2803 (2025)," which supports the U.S. President's initiative and welcomes the establishment of the Council for Peace.

According to the document, the Council for Peace will play a key role in implementing the 20 points of Trump's plan, providing strategic oversight, mobilizing international resources, and monitoring compliance with commitments in the transition of Gaza "from conflict to peace and development."

Moreover, within the Council for Peace, a founding executive council will be established, which will include U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio, Special Envoy Steve Witkoff, the President's son-in-law Jared Kushner, former British Prime Minister Tony Blair, American billionaire Mark Rowan, World Bank President Ajay Banga, and Deputy National Security Advisor Robert Gabriel.

Each member of the executive council will be responsible for specific areas necessary for stabilizing and long-term development in Gaza. These areas include developing management skills, strengthening regional ties, reconstruction, attracting investments, as well as large-scale financing and capital mobilization.

According to the statement, the functions of the High Representative for Gaza will be assigned to Bulgarian diplomat Nikolai Mladenov. He will serve as a link between the Council for Peace and the NCAG, ensuring coordination of governance, reconstruction, and development in the region, as well as interaction between civilian and security structures.
