According to information published on the Interesting Engineering website, the Parkie system allows for parking cars without driver intervention. To do this, the car must be left in a designated area, after which the robot will find a free spot for parking on its own. If necessary, the car will be returned in the same way.

According to the source, Parkie is already being used in multi-level parking lots, where several such robots operate simultaneously.

One of the main challenges in implementing Parkie is the need to ensure reliable wireless communication, as standard Wi-Fi networks can fail in parking conditions with a lot of concrete, metal, and moving vehicles.
