Emmanuel Macron, the President of France, announced at a meeting in the Élysée Palace that he will have to wear sunglasses for some time due to "minor issues." This was reported by Le Parisien.

The President noted: "I apologize for wearing these glasses; it is related to a small problem. I will be wearing them for a while, so I ask for your understanding."

However, he did not specify what exactly prompted him to wear the glasses.

On January 15, the day before this announcement, Macron appeared at an event with a bloodshot eye. Speaking to military personnel at the strategic airbase in Istres, he apologized for his "unpleasant appearance" and added that such redness could be interpreted "as a reference to a tiger's eye."

Later, the Élysée Palace explained that the redness was caused by a rupture of a small blood vessel.
