As reported to Turmush by Azim Azhybekov, who heads the district's Center for General Medical Practice, measures are currently being taken to attract medical specialists to the region.
According to him, in recent years, efforts have been made to improve conditions for young doctors. Previously, the hospital had a dormitory with 15 beds. Last year, a project was developed that received funding of 2 million 800 thousand soms. As a result, the dormitory was expanded by adding 6 more beds, and it now fully meets the necessary standards.
It was also proposed that the village council consider introducing a social package for young specialists. This issue is currently under discussion, and if the deputies support the initiative, it could significantly help attract new personnel.
Additionally, according to a government decree, starting in April, salaries for medical workers are expected to double. In this regard, a job fair for graduates is planned to be held in February at the Kyrgyz State Medical Academy. Special brochures are also being developed to attract the necessary specialists to the district.
At the moment, the At-Bashinsky district particularly needs:
- neonatologist
- obstetrician-gynecologist
- cardiologist
- infectious disease specialist
- pediatrician
- family doctor
- phthisiatrist
- oncologist
- ENT specialist
- ophthalmologist
“We are in preliminary negotiations, and it is expected that an ophthalmologist and an endocrinologist will join the work in the fall,” Azhybekov noted.
Currently, 7 young doctors have arrived in the district, and 3 interns are also working. However, the need for medical personnel remains high,” he added.
