On February 17, a meeting took place between the First Deputy Minister of Health Aibek Matkerimov and Indira Moldogazieva, a representative of the German Development Bank (KfW), and project manager from the consulting company GITEC-IGIP, Kerez Kelishova. The meeting discussed the achievements and current status of the sectoral program "Healthcare V," which is being implemented with financial support from Germany, as well as issues related to technical support, data updating, and ensuring the reliable functioning of the system in medical institutions.
As part of this meeting, a ceremonial handover of equipment took place — 150 printers and 1000 cartridges were delivered to medical institutions to facilitate work processes and maintain digital records.
The Ministry of Health reported that training workshops for staff were held in all medical institutions, and the SAMEDIS system was successfully launched. In the regions, the inventory of medical equipment is ongoing, with healthcare institutions in Bishkek and the Chui region having already completed the main stage and actively updating data.
Additionally, employees from relevant departments who manage the database and monitor the quality of the entered information have been trained. In the future, the accounting of medical equipment will be carried out by the state enterprise "Kyrgyzpharmacy."
Aibek Matkerimov thanked the German Development Bank (KfW) and GITEC-IGIP for their support, emphasizing that such cooperation contributes to improving the resilience and efficiency of the country's healthcare system.
The next step in the project implementation includes organizing technical support and further developing digital solutions in the field of healthcare.
