An international practical conference titled "21st Century ABA: Life Skills, Individuality, Values" is taking place in the capital of Kyrgyzstan. The event is dedicated to issues related to autism spectrum disorders (ASD), current correction methods, family support, and the development of an inclusive society.
Nazik Chekirova, the head of the Center for the Development and Correction of Children's Behavior "Ananai," noted that, unfortunately, there is an increase in cases of early diagnosis of children with autism, but the level of awareness among parents remains extremely low.
According to the organizer, the system of early diagnosis and modern correction methods in Kyrgyzstan is still not sufficiently developed.
Chekirova emphasized that to achieve the best results in helping children with autism, it is important to start correction as early as possible—before the age of three and beyond. This significantly increases the chances that children will be able to adapt to a neurotypical society.
The goal of the conference is to expand the knowledge of both specialists and parents, familiarize them with advanced methods, and share international experience. Each presentation at the conference is accompanied by practical examples.
Additionally, Chekirova added that the event plans to discuss the emotional state and burnout of parents raising children with special needs, as this process requires significant resources.
