Kyrgyzstan begins large-scale preparations for the Global Mountain Summit

Kyrgyzstan officially launches preparatory activities for one of the most significant international events of the last decade. The Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers, Adylbek Kasymaliev, signed an order to establish an organizing committee for the Second Global Mountain Summit "Bishkek+25," scheduled for 2027.

The importance of the upcoming forum is confirmed by the composition of the organizing committee, which is headed by the head of government himself. It includes vice-premiers, ministers, mayors of major cities, as well as the heads of the Naryn, Chui, and Issyk-Kul regions. The scientific and strategic support for the committee's work will be provided by the presidents of the National Academy of Sciences and the Institute of Strategic Initiatives.

The secretariat of the organizing committee will operate under the auspices of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Over the next three months, ministries have been tasked with developing a detailed action plan and approving a "roadmap." Special attention will be paid to promoting the mountain agenda on the international stage, for which the special representative of the President of Kyrgyzstan is responsible.

The "Bishkek+25" summit will be an important milestone in the global dialogue on sustainable development in mountain regions, which began its history in the capital of Kyrgyzstan in 2002. The administration of the president is responsible for monitoring the quality of preparations and adherence to deadlines.
