At the meeting of the Jogorku Kenesh on February 5, Deputy Marlen Mamataliev reported on a recent meeting between the Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Adylbek Kasymaliev and representatives of the World Bank.

Mamataliev noted that during his own negotiations with representatives of this international organization, an important issue was discussed regarding the installation of solar panels for the population. He emphasized that the World Bank is ready to provide support for this initiative.

“If you start addressing this issue — initiate the necessary procedures and give instructions to the relevant ministries — the World Bank agrees to install solar panels for citizens,” the deputy stated, addressing the First Deputy Prime Minister Daniyar Amangeldiev.

The deputy clarified that this concerns solar panels with a capacity of 5 to 10 kW.

Mamataliev also raised the issue of heat pumps, for which about $50 million had been allocated. According to him, despite the purchase, the equipment has still not been installed.
