According to the provided information, the project has been divided into three lots, which allows for the involvement of more qualified contractors. The consortium DEC–SM from China and the Republic of Korea is responsible for the execution of the first two lots, while lot No. 3 is being implemented by the company Sinohydro Bureau 16 from the PRC.
At the moment, several key tasks have already been completed at the Kambaratinskaya HPP-2 site:
- The main construction sites have been prepared and leveled, including areas for equipment placement, as well as office and temporary living quarters;
- The concreting of foundations for the contractors' office and residential buildings has been completed;
- The installation of metal structures for offices and residential buildings has begun, including load-bearing elements and roofing structures;
- A technical inspection of the water conduit for the second hydro unit and the compensator for the first has been conducted with the participation of design organizations;
- Preparatory activities for the commissioning of the second hydro unit have been launched, which will ensure the transition to the main stage of construction and installation works.

The project is being implemented with financial assistance from the Eurasian Fund for Stabilization and Development. Technical support and engineering supervision for the project are being provided by the international consulting company Fichtner GmbH & Co. KG.
