According to the information from the cabinet of ministers, the purpose of this bill is to improve the existing legislation in the field of military service and military duty. It aims to align the amounts paid by citizens for alternative service, eliminate corruption risks in the application of the Code of Offenses, and enhance the responsibility of conscripts and military personnel for violations of military registration rules by increasing the amounts of fines.
The adoption of the bill took place without discussions.
According to the amendments, the fees for alternative service will be as follows:
- for citizens called up due to family circumstances — 250 calculation indicators;
- for citizens with health limitations — 400 calculation indicators;
- for members of registered religious organizations — 500 calculation indicators;
- for citizens aged 22 to 40 who have not served in the military and wish to undergo mobilization reserve training — 750 calculation indicators (75,000 soms);
- for military personnel under 30 years old with higher education and registered in the first category of military accounting, wishing to undergo mobilization reserve training under the officer reserve training program — 900 calculation indicators (90,000 soms).
- The fine for violating military registration rules will be 100 calculation indicators (10,000 soms), whereas the previously applicable measure implied a warning or a fine of 10 calculation indicators.
