Kazakhstan has officially joined the Council of Peace without contributing any mandatory financial resources. This was stated by Erlan Zhetybaev, a representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in an interview with local media regarding this event.

He emphasized that this decision fully aligns with the country's interests and corresponds to the course of foreign policy aimed at developing dialogue, maintaining international security, and strengthening multilateral cooperation.

“The President has identified this initiative as timely, aimed at achieving specific and rapid results. In his opinion, peace should be built not on declarations, but on real actions,” noted Erlan Zhetybaev.

When asked about finances, he confirmed that Kazakhstan did not contribute any funds upon joining.
“The Republic of Kazakhstan joined the Council of Peace without any financial contribution. The voluntary contribution mentioned in the charter of $1 billion is not mandatory for membership. It is the right of each participant,” he added.

Speaking about the possible deployment of a military contingent to Gaza, the Foreign Ministry representative urged to refer to official sources. According to him, it is only about humanitarian tasks.

“The President stated in his speech that Kazakhstan is ready to support international stabilization forces by sending medical units with a field hospital, as well as observers for civil-military coordination,” noted Erlan Zhetybaev.

In addition, Kazakhstan is ready to provide humanitarian aid, including food, allocate 500 educational grants for Palestinian students in Kazakhstani universities for five years, and share experience in the field of e-government.
As previously reported, at the inaugural meeting of the Council of Peace in February, Donald Trump expressed gratitude to all participants for their contributions to efforts to ensure stability and recovery in Gaza. He also characterized Kazakhstan as a wonderful and rich state.

In January, the President of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, signed the charter of the Council of Peace, created at the initiative of Donald Trump.

Earlier, the head of Kazakhstan received an official invitation from Trump to join the Council of Peace, and the republic was proposed as one of the founders.

The Council of Peace, according to Washington's vision, will be responsible for strategic oversight, mobilization of international resources, and monitoring the fulfillment of commitments for the peaceful development of Gaza.
