President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov held a meeting with permanent representatives of various countries accredited to the United Nations. This information was provided by the press service of the head of state.

During the discussion, important international issues were addressed, such as the complex geopolitical situation, security problems at both the international and regional levels, as well as issues related to the fight against terrorism and extremism, climate change, nuclear non-proliferation, and the promotion of sustainable development goals.



Japarov emphasized that Kyrgyzstan is ready to continue participating in efforts to strengthen international security and support initiatives aimed at sustainable development. He also noted the importance of uniting international efforts to achieve long-term stability and peace, which he believes is a key factor in the current conditions.

The permanent representatives of the UN noted the positive changes in the socio-economic development of Kyrgyzstan, highly appreciating the country's active position in international cooperation, as well as its efforts for the peaceful resolution of regional conflicts and border issues, as well as for the development of regional dialogue and support for sustainable development.



Special attention was paid to the role of Kyrgyzstan as a country that actively defends the interests of small and developing states and advocates for a more inclusive and balanced international order. The meeting gathered permanent representatives of the UN from countries such as Andorra, Chad, Gabon, Guatemala, Guinea-Bissau, Guyana, Namibia, Saint Kitts and Nevis, as well as South Sudan, as reported by the press service.
