The Russian Foreign Ministry commented on Solovyov's words about Venezuela and Armenia

"This is a private opinion"

Maria Zakharova, the spokesperson for the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, commented on the recent statements made by television host Vladimir Solovyov regarding international law, the USA, and the situation in Venezuela, as well as Russia's influence on Armenia. This was reported by the RBC agency.

She noted that "this is a private opinion, not the official position of Russia," adding that Solovyov expressed his thoughts in the form of a question. "Manipulations are unacceptable. Russia supports good-neighborly relations, strategic partnership, and alliance with the countries of the South Caucasus and Central Asia," Zakharova emphasized.

It should be reminded that during his broadcast, Solovyov mentioned the possibility of military actions in Russia's spheres of influence, comparing it to the actions of the USA in Venezuela. As a result, the Russian ambassador was summoned for clarification in Armenia, and in Kyrgyzstan, there were proposals to declare Solovyov a persona non grata.

It is necessary to clarify that the United States carried out a military operation in Caracas, during which they extradited the President of Venezuela and his wife for judicial proceedings.
