A tragedy occurred in Tajikistan: Constitutional Court judge Jamshid Jamshidzoda passed away after falling from the ninth floor. This was reported by several local news outlets.

Witnesses of the incident note that it is still unclear whether it was a suicide or an accident.

A law enforcement representative stated that a criminal case has been initiated, but no further details were provided.

Jamshid Jamshidzoda, who was 52 years old, took office as a judge of the Constitutional Court in 2019 on the recommendation of the President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon, considering the quota from the Gorno-Badakhshan Autonomous Region.

Previously, he had worked for many years in the country's scientific institutions and served as a member of the Central Election Commission from 2011 to 2019. He held a PhD in law and left behind a wife and three children.
