Nurzat Zheenbek kyzy from Naryn is a craftswoman, artist, sculptor, and chairwoman of the Association of Craftsmen of Kyrgyzstan.

She shared that she connects national heritage with a modern philosophical perspective, giving it a new resonance.

Recently, Nurzat presented her new felt works to the public under the titles “Zhalyn” (“Flame”) and “Uya” (“Nest”).

According to her, these pieces are not just traditional shyrdaks, but authorial compositions filled with deep philosophy.

“The composition ‘Warm Stone’ (‘Zhylyu tash’), made from ala kiyiz, is a special work. On the outside, they resemble stones, but inside they are warm. This image reflects the contrast between external harshness and internal softness of a person.

The composition ‘Nest’ symbolizes the diversity of characters within each family. For example, one of five brothers may differ from the others, following his own path. But despite these differences, we all must unite and live in harmony. This work is precisely about that,” Zheenbek kyzy explained.

She noted that each piece is her story, coming from the heart, an artistic form of internal experiences.

“My creativity is not just about felt products or decorative items. It is an authorial philosophy that reveals the deep layers of national perception,” the master added.
