Shen Minjuyan congratulated the Mongols on the Tsagaan Sar holiday

Shen Minjuyan
“Tsagaan Sar in Mongolia and the Spring Festival in China coincide this year on just one day, and soon both countries will celebrate the Year of the Fire Horse!” reports MiddleAsianNews, citing the words of the Chinese ambassador in Ulaanbaatar.

The horse, symbolizing bravery, intelligence, and endurance, represents a significant symbol of bold progress and aspiration for the future in both cultures—both Chinese and Mongolian.

With the arrival of the Year of the Fire Horse, I sincerely hope for the rapid development of comprehensive strategic partnership between China and Mongolia, as well as for the achievement of all set goals without any obstacles! I wish all our Mongolian friends good luck, strong health, and happiness!

Over the past year, cooperation between China and Mongolia has deepened significantly, and impressive results have been achieved in various fields. In the context of an unstable international situation, trade between the two countries demonstrates resilience and stability, highlighting its potential for further growth.

Allow me to outline three main expectations for the development of relations between China and Mongolia in the Year of the Fire Horse.

The first is the necessity of strengthening strategic coordination. This year marks the beginning of China's 15th Five-Year Plan, and Mongolia has also begun implementing a new five-year plan. These two plans are interconnected, and there is hope that China and Mongolia can mutually benefit and develop together. Next month, the 15th Five-Year Plan will be discussed and approved at the National People's Congress and the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, and a more specific "list of options" will be proposed to Mongolia. I urge our Mongolian partners to pay attention to this.

Secondly, it is important to continue actively promoting joint projects.

Last year, China and Mongolia achieved significant successes in implementing major projects:

Thus, China is ready for further cooperation with Mongolia in the practical implementation of joint projects and strengthening joint efforts to develop the infrastructure of both countries.

The third is the necessity of enhancing support for initiatives that improve the quality of life for citizens. I was happy to invite my Mongolian friends, who underwent cataract surgery and treatment for congenital heart defects, to a recent reception on the occasion of the Spring Festival at the embassy. I saw how well they were recovering after the surgeries. China will continue to support Mongolian citizens in need of medical assistance.

Additionally, I visited Enkhsaikhan's home in the yurt district, who told me how the installed solar heating system has improved his life, making it more comfortable and cozy. With China's support, over 500 families will also be able to live in similar conditions.

China is also working with the United Nations to enhance the adaptive capacity of herders to climate change, improve soil management, and enhance sanitary conditions for school-age girls, thereby supporting Mongolia in achieving sustainable development.

In conclusion, I want to express my gratitude to all sectors of Mongolia for their invaluable support of my activities.

I will continue to fulfill my commitments to create a community with a shared future for China and Mongolia and strive for fruitful results in bilateral relations.
