- As part of the new solution, there is a provision for exemption from the payment of import customs duties on cocoa butter under the EAEU commodity code 1804000000 for an amount of up to 300 tons per year.

The exemption will be in effect on an annual basis, with the possibility of extension until April 30, 2027.

This measure is aimed at supporting confectionery and food enterprises located in the member countries of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU), as well as at developing domestic production and creating added value within the Union.

To take advantage of the exemption, it is necessary to obtain a confirming document from the authorized body of the EAEU member state, which will specify the importing organizations and the volumes of cocoa butter permitted for import within the established limit.

The imported cocoa butter may be used exclusively for processing and production of finished products on the territory of the respective EAEU member state. The use of the raw material for other purposes is prohibited.

This approach is aimed at stimulating local production and increasing the competitiveness of goods produced within the Union.

The introduction of this exemption should provide food industry enterprises with stable supplies of raw materials, increase production volumes, and expand the range of quality products in the EAEU market.

Note

Cocoa butter is a natural vegetable fat obtained from ground cocoa through pressing. It has a light yellow color, a solid texture at room temperature, and a characteristic chocolate aroma. This raw material is a key component in chocolate production and is also widely used in cosmetology and pharmaceuticals due to its ability to melt at body temperature, nourish the skin, and provide high stability.
