An innovative energy storage system station launched in Bishkek

In Bishkek, the launch of a unique project aimed at installing a solar photovoltaic system with an energy storage mechanism (BESS) took place. This initiative, implemented with the support of the Ministry of Economy and Commerce of the Kyrgyz Republic, represents one of the first successful examples of integrating renewable energy sources and batteries in the commercial sector of the country.

This technological installation, located on the roof of one of the city's facilities, utilizes advanced engineering solutions from Korea. It includes solar panels with a total capacity of approximately 50 kW and a storage system with a capacity of 200 kWh. The entire system is managed through a digital intelligent platform PMS/EMS, which optimizes energy consumption in real time.

The key feature of this project is its versatility. The installation can operate in grid mode (on-grid), which allows for smoothing peak loads and reducing electricity costs, as well as in off-grid mode during outages. This ensures uninterrupted operation of the facility and supports the microgrid even in the event of a complete loss of voltage in the main grid.

The Ministry of Economy and Commerce emphasizes that this project creates a practical foundation for the development of a "green" economy in the country. Such solutions not only reduce the burden on the traditional energy system but also enhance the resilience of Kyrgyzstan's energy infrastructure. The presentation was attended by representatives of government agencies, the business community, international organizations, and specialized educational institutions, who discussed the possibilities of expanding this experience to other commercial and state facilities in the republic.
