- At the end of 2023, the leaders of the Eurasian Economic Union countries adopted a declaration concerning the further development of the union until 2030 and 2045. This was reported in an interview with the radio by Kaniyet Nasiridinov, head of the integration development sector of the EAEU coordination management in the relevant ministry.

According to him, in December of last year, the deputy prime ministers of the member states of the EEC Council signed a plan for the implementation of this declaration. This document includes 345 activities covering areas such as customs regulation, trade, digitalization, industry, and the agro-industrial complex.

Regarding customs regulation, it plans to unify legislation and align the practices of applying norms that will be enshrined in the Customs Code. In the area of technical regulation, the creation of a unified system of technical regulation is anticipated.

The document also addresses issues related to the handling of pharmaceuticals and medical devices, including the harmonization of approaches among member countries on key aspects of their regulation.

One of the important parts of the plan is the agro-industrial complex. It includes measures to ensure food accessibility and the development of trade and economic ties between producers and consumers. A financing mechanism for agro-industrial projects, involving at least three member countries, will also be implemented.

"Agro-industrial producers will be able to receive interest-free loans. The subsidization of the interest rate will be carried out from the union's budget," noted Nasiridinov, adding that the launch of this mechanism in the agricultural sector is planned for the end of 2026.

There is a similar mechanism in the industrial sector, where the key rate is also subsidized. Currently, the possibility of additional subsidization is being discussed.

The plan includes the development of industrial cooperation, the implementation of digital solutions using artificial intelligence, and the improvement of approaches to the legal protection of intellectual property.

In addition, the Kyrgyz side is initiating the provision of special privileges in the implementation of cooperative projects, taking into account the level of industrialization of the union's countries.

Nasiridinov reported that this issue is currently under discussion, and a corresponding mechanism is planned to be advanced by the end of the year.
