The completion of the construction of the Kulanak hydroelectric power station is scheduled for the third quarter of 2027, according to forecasts published in the action plan of the Cabinet of Ministers.

This HPP will have an installed capacity of 100 megawatts. The work is being carried out by the LLC "Production Enterprise Naryn" and the Ministry of Energy.

The hydroelectric power station will be located at the confluence of the At-Bashy and Naryn rivers and will represent a diversion station.

In addition, the government's plans also include the construction of the Kulanak-2 HPP with a capacity of 68.8 MW, which is expected to be completed by the end of 2030.
