On January 17, the Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic and Minister of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Processing Industry Bakyt Torobaev got acquainted with the project of an alternative road leading to Manas International Airport. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Transport.

During the meeting, Minister of Transport Absattar Syrgabaev and his colleagues presented information about the project's objectives, its technical specifications, and implementation stages.

The future four-lane road will be 17 kilometers long, starting from the intersection of the Northern Bypass Road of Bishkek with the Young Guard Boulevard. As part of the project, the construction of a two-level transport interchange is planned, as well as the installation of lighting and landscaping of the area.

It was also noted that studies and design work are expected ahead.

In addition, the possibility of constructing a two-lane road and a bridge 8.7 kilometers long, which will connect the villages of Mramornoe and Vinogradnoe, is being considered in the Chui region.

The Ministry of Transport emphasized that this project aims to reduce traffic congestion, enhance road safety, improve infrastructure, and develop interregional connections.
