Dzhamanbaeva urged law enforcement agencies to conduct a thorough and impartial investigation into the incident, clarifying all the details surrounding the woman's death, as well as to protect the rights of her children and provide them with the necessary social support.
According to information from the local police, the girl's pregnancy was reported by the hospital, where she is currently 16 weeks along. On the evening of February 25, the mother and daughter were taken to the police station; however, the woman refused to be questioned, stepping out to get water. As a result, the questioning was conducted with the participation of a representative from the family and children's protection agency.
Later, in the parking lot of the police department, the woman committed self-immolation and subsequently died in the hospital from her injuries.

In response to the tragedy, the human rights commissioner in the Issyk-Kul region began the process of clarifying the circumstances and protecting the rights of the deceased woman's children in cooperation with local authorities.
On February 26, Ombudsman staff visited the children to provide assistance.
The family living in the Ak-Suu district consists of four children: the eldest girl studies at a vocational school, she has two younger sisters aged 15 and 6, as well as a 14-year-old brother.
The family was registered as low-income, and since 2018, their mother had been receiving child benefits.
According to local authorities, last year, with the help of charitable organizations, a house was built for the family. Additionally, the village council provided financial support, as the woman was raising the children alone after the divorce.
Currently, the children are under the care of their aunt, and the issue of official guardianship will be resolved soon. The pregnant underage girl is also at home with relatives.
The police continue to conduct a preliminary investigation based on the girl's testimony.
