The city hall clarified information about a possible tram line around the city
The new tram line will start from the 12th microdistrict and lead to the center of the capital, as well as to the Osh market. Relevant information was provided by the city administration.
This project aligns with the General Plan for the development of Bishkek until 2050.
The city hall noted: “The tram line will run along Aaly Tokombaev Avenue, then along Kyiv Street to the Osh market.”
In addition, city authorities responded to residents' initiatives for the creation of a tram line that would cover the entire city.
“The General Plan provides for the construction of tram routes in directions with high passenger traffic, which is related to the main areas of dense residential development and their connection to the city center. Therefore, a tram line covering the entire city would not be able to effectively serve passengers,” the city hall explained.
