As part of the master plan, the railway is considered an important element of alternative passenger transport, namely — the urban electric train. Therefore, according to officials, the removal of railway infrastructure and the dismantling of tracks are deemed impractical.
The document also provides for the construction of overpasses on all major streets intersecting the railway tracks. This is expected to improve connectivity between different areas of the city, reduce transport gaps, and increase the capacity of the road network.
