At the parliamentary meeting on January 15, Deputy Marlen Mamataliyev proposed a new initiative: to give inspectors half of the fines for traffic violations that they detect.

During the discussion of amendments to laws and codes that tighten penalties for traffic rule violations, Mamataliyev emphasized the need to increase the bonus from the current 10% to 30 or even 50%.

According to Deputy Interior Minister Oktyabr Urmambetov, inspectors currently receive 10% of the fine amount as a bonus. Mamataliyev argued his position, noting that this measure would help prevent potential corruption schemes: "If the fine is 70,000 soms, drivers may try to persuade inspectors to take a bribe. By increasing the bonus to 50%, we can ensure transparency in the work of inspectors, as their reward will depend on the amount of fines collected," he explained, expressing his readiness to submit this proposal for a second reading.

In addition, the deputy suggested reviewing the current career advancement system for traffic inspectors, adding: "There are certain timeframes for promotions. Is it possible to shorten these timeframes if inspectors identify a certain number of violators?"

Deputy Interior Minister Urmambetov agreed that increasing the bonus to 50% could be a significant incentive for inspectors. He also mentioned that a starting inspector receives a salary of 62,000 soms.
