In response to the criticism from deputy Dastan Bekeshev regarding the construction of a mini-football field in the Botanical Garden, Orunbekov reminded that before the work began, the area was in a very neglected state. According to him, the irrigation system was not functioning, trees were drying out, and the lighting was insufficient, creating unfavorable conditions for walks and safety.
Orunbekov also emphasized that under the president's directive, significant work is currently being carried out in the Botanical Garden. New pedestrian and running paths have been created, lighting and video surveillance have been provided, and an 8.5-kilometer bike path has been laid. Additionally, three wells have been drilled, and a drip irrigation system is being implemented. The mini-football field will be located in a rocky area where there were previously no trees. It is planned that the income from the use of this field will go towards the maintenance and development of the garden. “Let’s wait for the completion of the work by summer and then evaluate the result, instead of looking for reasons to criticize in advance,” he added.
Furthermore, Orunbekov commented on the words of deputy Kamila Taliev regarding the draft law on state awards. He noted that this document was officially presented to the parliament on December 17, 2025, and does not include the title "Kemenger."
He emphasized that the term "Kemenger" is not provided for in the current award system and does not appear in the proposed changes.
In this regard, the representative of the administration urged deputies to be more attentive to the text of the draft law and to avoid spreading inaccurate information.
He also noted that the issue of possibly merging the titles "People's Poet" and "People's Writer" may be discussed at parliamentary sessions. Deputies have the right to submit their proposals and amendments within the legislative process.
In conclusion, Orunbekov reminded of the importance of avoiding demagoguery and populism in the process of discussing state decisions.
