At the event, in addition to the president, representatives of financial institutions and the U.S. government participated, including Trade Representative Jamison Greer, Special Presidential Envoy Paolo Zampolli, and President of the Export-Import Bank John Yovanovich. Heads of major companies such as Traxys, Valmont Industries, Gulf Oil, and others were also present. Regional leaders from Uzbekistan maintained video communication with the meeting.
In his address to the participants, Mirziyoyev emphasized that this meeting represents an important step forward in the development of relations between Uzbekistan and the USA, which became a logical continuation of the previous "round table." He noted that economic cooperation is moving to a level of strategic trust.
“The key factors today are the reliability of partners, predictability of conditions, and long-term prospects,” the president emphasized, clarifying that these principles guide Uzbekistan's interaction with the United States.
Mirziyoyev also outlined key areas of the country's socio-economic development, highlighting the economic agenda as the main support of the strategic partnership. Priority projects include areas in critical resources, petrochemicals, energy, agriculture, and poultry farming.
Particular attention was drawn to the significance of the U.S. International Development Finance Corporation and the Export-Import Bank as key partners in supporting investment deals, as well as the importance of a joint Business and Investment Council for implementing these initiatives.
To strengthen interregional cooperation, it was proposed to organize visits of the heads of Uzbekistan's regions to partner states in the USA.
During the signing ceremony, bilateral documents were confirmed regarding the implementation of a number of projects, including the construction of a network of gas stations, the introduction of irrigation technologies, the extraction and supply of critical minerals, the creation of a poultry cluster, the development of the agro-industrial complex, and the improvement of the investment climate.
